Description

Root is a bulb-centered supporting structure—a system of growth that emerges beneath the light. Here, the form does not behave like an object placed on a surface, but like an arrangement that spreads across the ground.

While the bulb remains exposed at the center, the organic structure functions as a mechanism that distributes weight, anchors itself to the surface, and creates balance. Rather than appearing as a single pedestal, it extends outward like a network of roots. Soft surfaces become firmer at the points of contact, while the openings lighten the structure. In this way, the form both settles into place and allows space to breathe.

Within the Morph collection, transformation becomes visible in this piece through placement and support rather than shape alone. Root expresses change not through motion or fractured geometry, but through the way weight is transferred, balance is established, and the form relates to the surface beneath it.
