Description

The spherical bulb rises from within an organic form that swells from the surface. The lower structure does not behave like a flat base; instead, the surface moves from within itself, creating an undulating boundary around the bulb.

The pointed projections rising along the upper edge read like a rippling crown reaching toward the sphere. As the form descends, it softens and expands, with the sharp tips transforming into fuller, more fluid masses.

The organic extensions spreading outward behave like a network of roots, giving the object both a sense of movement and visual weight.

The matte-textured surface diffuses the light across a rough topography. As the light travels through its recesses and protrusions, a clear contrast emerges between the calm geometry of the spherical bulb and the energetic structure of the form beneath it.

Beyond its function as a lighting object, Orbit occupies the space as a sculptural form.
