Description

Notch is designed not simply as a body that carries light, but as a sculptural crown that creates a place for it.

The protruding form opens upward; pointed tips, recessed transitions, and rising arms create an organic throne for the sphere of light.

The body does more than support the light—it elevates, frames, and places it at the center.

The rounded sphere does not appear as a detail embedded within the form, but as a focal point seated upon a throne.

Notch takes its name from the deliberate cuts and inward-carved transitions across its body. These notches give the form both rhythm and strength, creating a sharper, more distinctive silhouette among the soft volumes.

The textured surface of the 3D print makes the object’s layered structure visible. The light, meanwhile, becomes a calm yet powerful center rising above the red supporting form.

Notch is a sculptural structure that does not surround the light, but builds a throne for it.
